Nyonya Laksa Recipe - Nyonyalite

Ingredients:

  • 1 pack Nyonyalite Nyonya Laksa Paste
  • 500ml water
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • 200g yellow noodles or thick bee hoon
  • 6 prawns, shelled and deveined
  • 6 fishballs or fish cakes, sliced
  • 1 hard-boiled egg, halved
  • A handful of bean sprouts
  • Fresh laksa leaves (daun kesum), chopped

Instructions:

  1. Heat a wok and stir-fry Nyonyalite Nyonya Laksa Paste until fragrant.
  2. Add 500ml of water, bring to a boil, and stir well to mix evenly.
  3. Pour in 200ml of coconut milk and stir to combine.
  4. Add prawns and fishballs/fish cakes, cooking until prawns turn pink.
  5. In a separate pot, cook noodles according to package instructions, then drain.
  6. Place cooked noodles and bean sprouts into serving bowls.
  7. Ladle the hot laksa broth over the noodles, ensuring an even mix of prawns and fish cakes.
  8. Garnish with laksa leaves, and a hard-boiled egg if desired.
