Ingredients:

For the Laksa Broth:

  • 1 pack Nyonyalite Nyonya Laksa Paste
  • 300ml water
  • 200ml coconut milk
  • 200ml chicken or seafood stock

Recommended Steamboat Ingredients (Choose Your Favorites!):

  • Seafood: Prawns, fish slices, squid, mussels
  • Meat: Chicken slices, beef, or pork
  • Fish & Meatballs: Fish balls, prawn balls, beef balls
  • Tofu & Beancurd: Fried tofu puffs, tofu skin, egg tofu
  • Vegetables: Kangkung, enoki mushrooms, napa cabbage, okra
  • Noodles: Thick bee hoon, instant noodles, or yellow noodles
  • Extras: Quail eggs, hard-boiled eggs, laksa leaves, sambal

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Broth:

    • Heat a pot and stir-fry Nyonyalite Nyonya Laksa Paste until fragrant.
    • Add 300ml of water and chicken/seafood stock. Bring to a boil.
    • Pour in 200ml of coconut milk and stir well. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  2. Set Up the Steamboat:

    • Place the hotpot on the dining table and keep the broth warm using a portable stove.

  3. Time to Dip & Cook:

    • Add your favorite ingredients to the bubbling laksa broth.
    • Let them cook for a few minutes, then enjoy with noodles and dipping sauces.
